Slip.cc highlights one of the newer schemes in the world of hookup dating. It’s actually just a redirect. As of this review, it’s redirecting to Affairalert.com.
How Does It Work?
It’s so simple it’s almost hilarious. A marketer downloads and re-posts a bunch of videos on big porn tube sites with his/her website listed on the video. Then when people go to your site, they get sent to an affiliate offer. It’s not a scam per se, but it’s unoriginal and usually gives users a sub-par experience.
In the case of Slip.cc, a profile named Mike1970 on xvideos is posting videos.(likely unoriginal) You’ll see the words “I met this chick on slip.cc” or “I met this guy on slip.cc” on all of his videos. When you go to slip.cc, you’ll see a “You must be 18 to enter” screen. Once you click the link, you’re sent to an Affair Alert landing page.
What about Affair Alert?
It’s definitely not the worst adult dating site out there, but it’s not good either. The site tries to do the right thing with genuine female members and users aren’t bombarded with emails after signing up, but there simply aren’t many women. One guy (whose experience with slip.cc is shared below) I got an email from told me that there were only 3 women in his area. That’s slim pickin’s!
Mike1970 on xvideos did not “meet that chick” on Slip.cc (or AffairAlert.com). If you think he did, then I have a some wooden nickels to sell you. Stay away from video advertising schemes like this and see how to get your rocks off online here.
User Experiences with Slip.cc:
I was happily browsing some free porn today and saw an amateur looking video on xvideos. It was a college aged guy and a girl having sex on a bed, but there was something about the girl that really caught my eye. She had that attainable hotness, if you know what I mean? In the video, it read “I met this chick at slip.cc” and so after I finished up, I cruised over to slip.cc to see what the fuss was all about.
I was (naively) thinking to myself “maybe slip.cc is some sort of underground hookup ring with sexually enlightened girls.” I knew the probability was small, but I proceeded anyway. After the initial “Leave if under 18” page, I was immediately sent to Affairalert.com.
This guy Mike1970 on xvideos is posting a bunch of amateur videos with a pop-up that reads: “I met this chick on slip.cc” or “I met this guy on slip.cc.” Then, when you go to the site, it’s an affiliate redirect to affair alert.
Against my better judgment, I signed up. A few beers into a lonely Friday night and I didn’t feel like I had much to lose.
I tried it and it was actually ok. It was a better experience than some other guys have had with similar sites. I didn’t really get bombarded with emails from fake profiles or anything, but I had the opposite problem. There just weren’t any women. There were 3 women within my area and I wasn’t really interested in any of them.
Luckily, I didn’t spend any money and it sounds like I got off easy. They just wasted some of my time and didn’t offer enough women to get me interested. Not unlike every other service these days. ☺ Thanks for putting up the great info on your site and I hope guys are getting this info before their entering in card info.
